State Specific Restrictions

Below is a comprehensive list of all the state restrictions we follow. Ultimately it is the buyer’s responsibility to know their local laws, but we try our best to stay up to date with local laws in each area.

We will not modify a firearm from its manufactured packaging in order to make it compliant with your state laws. We will also not ship firearms to a third party to be modified or changed in any way from manufactured specifications. The firearm you purchase must be compliant AS IS from the manufacturer before we will ship.

Rifles

The following are prohibited:

  • Rifles that come with over a 15 round capacity magazine from the manufacturer.

(Does not include .22LR tube-fed rifles or tubular magazines contained in a lever action rifle of any caliber.*)

Shotguns

The following are prohibited:

  • A fixed, tubular shotgun magazine that holds more than 28 inches of shotgun shells, including any extension device that is attached to the magazine and holds additional shells.*
  • Shotguns that come with a non-tubular, detachable magazine, box, drum, feed strip, or similar device that is capable of accepting more than 8 shotgun shells when combined with a fixed magazine.*

Handguns

The following are prohibited:

  • Handguns that come with over a 15 round capacity magazine from the manufacturer.

Accessories / Ammunition

The following are prohibited:

  • Magazines exceeding 15 rounds.
  • A non-tubular, detachable magazine, box, drum, feed strip, or similar device that is capable of accepting more than 8 shotgun shells when combined with a fixed magazine.*

Connecticut Rifles

The following are prohibited:

  • Semi-automatic rifles with a detachable magazine and one or more of the following features:
  1. Folding / telescoping stock
  2. Pistol grip
  3. Bayonet mount
  4. Flash suppressor
  5. Threaded barrel
  6. Grenade launcher
  7. Magazine capacity exceeding 10 rounds
  • Any Semi-auto, centerfire rifle that has or accepts a magazine with a capacity exceeding five (5) rounds is prohibited to any person under twenty-one years of age.
  • .22 Rimfire rifles with detachable magazines and any two of the following features:
1. Pistol grip
2. Folding stock

3. Bayonet mount

  • No upper or lower AR receivers.
Shotguns

The following are prohibited:

  • Semi-automatic shotguns that have at least two of the following features:
  1. Folding / telescoping stock
  2. Pistol grip
  3. Fixed magazine over 5 rounds
  4. Ability to accept a detachable magazine

Handguns

The following are prohibited:

  • Semi-automatic handguns with a detachable magazine and one or more of the following features:
  1. Magazine that attaches to the firearm outside the pistol grip
  2. Barrel shroud
  3. Manufactured weight of 50 oz or more
  4. Threaded barrel
  5. Magazine capacity exceeding 10 rounds Accessories / Ammunition
  • No folding / telescoping stocks.
  • No upper receivers for ARs.
  • No AR accessories.
  • No magazines exceeding 10 rounds.

Illinois

  • Effective Immediately: No magazines over 10rd for rifles, 15 for handgun, 7 for shotgun will be shipped to customers with shipping addresses in IL.

Customer must have FOID (Firearm Owner’s ID) to purchase ammunition anywhere in Illinois. It must be faxed or emailed to us prior to shipment. Prohibited:

  • ALL MUZZLELOADERS / BLACKPOWDER FIREARMS (handguns, long guns) MUST SHIP TO AN FFL DEALER.
  • Stun Guns and TASERs require an FFL Transfer.

CITY OF CHICAGO

No FIREARMS. No AMMUNITION.

Accessories are okay to ship to Chicago with the exception of:

  1. Collapsible, folding or thumbhole stocks
  2. Flash hiders
  3. Batons
  4. Magazines exceeding 10 rounds
  5. Accessories capable of functioning as a protruding grip that can be held by the non-trigger hand
COOK COUNTY
(excludes City of Chicago, which has its own restrictions)
Rifles
  1. Semiautomatic rifles are prohibited.
  2. AR or AK pattern receivers are prohibited.
  3. Lever-action rifles of any caliber with a tubular feeding device are permitted.
  4. Bolt-action rifles of any caliber with a fixed or detachable magazine that does not exceed 10 rounds are permitted. Pump-action .22LR rifles with tubular magazines are permitted.
  5. Single-shot rifles are permitted.

Shotguns Prohibited: a semiautomatic shotgun that has one or more of the following:

  1. Only a pistol grip without a stock attached;
  2. Any feature capable of functioning as a protruding grip that can be held by the non-trigger hand; A folding, telescoping, or thumbhole stock;
  3. A fixed magazine capacity in excess of five rounds; or
  4. An ability to accept a detachable magazine.
  5. Any shotgun with a revolving cylinder is prohibited.
  6. Any shotgun with a fixed magazine capacity in excess of 5 rounds is prohibited.

Handguns Prohibited are semiautomatic pistols that have a detachable magazine AND two or more of the following:

  1. Any feature capable of functioning as a protruding grip that can be held by the non-trigger hand
  2. A folding, telescoping or thumbhole stock
  3. Barrel shroud
  4. Muzzle brake / muzzle compensator
  5. Capacity to accept a detachable magazine outside the pistol grip

Accessories/Ammunition

  1. Box-type detachable magazines with a capacity over 10 rounds are prohibited only for long-guns.
  2. No collapsible, folding or thumbhole stocks.
  3. No flash hiders.
  4. No accessory capable of functioning as a protruding grip that can be held by the non-trigger hand.

City of Aurora

Rifles

  • Semiautomatic rifles are prohibited.
  • AR or AK patterns receivers are prohibited.

Shotguns

  • Semiautomatic shotguns are prohibited.
  • Any shotgun with a revolving cylinder is prohibited.
  • Any slide-action shotgun with a magazine capacity of 15 rounds or fewer is permitted.

Handguns Prohibited are semiautomatic pistols that have a detachable magazine AND two or more of the following:

  1. An ammunition magazine that attaches to the pistol outside of the pistol grip
  2. Threaded barrel
  3. Barrel shroud
  4. A manufactured weight of fifty (50) ounces or more when the pistol is unloaded
  5. A semiautomatic version of an automatic firearm

Accessories/Ammunition

  • Long-gun magazines with a capacity of 15 rounds or more are prohibited.
  • Batons are prohibited.

City Of Highland Park

Rifles Prohibited:

  • AR or AK patterns receivers are prohibited.
  • A semiautomatic rifle that has a fixed magazine, that has the capacity to accept more than ten rounds of ammunition.
  • A semiautomatic rifle that has the capacity to accept a magazine with capacity over ten (10) rounds (detachable or otherwise) AND one or more of the following:
  • Only a pistol grip without a stock attached;
  • Any feature capable of functioning as a protruding grip that can be held by the non-trigger hand;
  • A folding, telescoping or thumbhole stock;
  • A shroud attached to the barrel, or that partially or completely encircles the barrel, allowing the bearer to hold the firearm with the non-trigger hand without being burned, but excluding a slide that encloses the barrel;
  • A muzzle brake or muzzle compensator.

Additionally, the following rifles or copies or duplicates thereof are specifically prohibited:

  • AK, AKM, AKS, AK47, AK74, ARM, MAK90,
  • Misr, NHM 90, NHM 91, SA 85, SA 93, VEPR;
  • AR10;
  • AR15, Bushmaster XM15, Armalite M15, or Olympic Arms PCR; AR70;
  • Calico Liberty;
  • Dragunov SVD Sniper Rifle or Dragunov SVU;
  • Fabrique National FN/FAL, FN/LAR, or FNC;
  • Hi-Point Carbine;
  • HK91, HK93, HK94, or HKPSG
  • Kel-Tec Sub Rifle;
  • Saiga
  • SAR8, SAR4800;
  • SKS with Detachable Magazine;
  • SLG 95;
  • SLR 95 or 96;
  • Steyr AUG;
  • Sturm, Ruger Mini14;
  • Tavor;
  • Thompson 1927, Thompson M1, or Thompson
  • 1927 Commando; or Uzi, Galil and Uzi Sporter, Galil Sporter, or Galil Sniper Rifle (Galatz).

Permitted:

  • A .22 caliber tube ammunition feeding device.
  • A tubular magazine that is contained in a lever-action firearm.

Shotguns Prohibited:

  • Any shotgun with a revolving cylinder.
  • A semiautomatic shotgun that has one or more of the following:
  • Only a pistol grip without a stock attached
  • Any feature capable of functioning as a protruding grip that can be held by the non-trigger hand; A folding, telescoping or thumbhole stock;
  • A fixed magazine capacity in excess of five (5) rounds
  • An ability to accept a detachable magazine.

Additionally, the following shotguns or copies or duplicates thereof are specifically prohibited:

  • Armscor 30 BG;
  • SPAS 12 or LAW 12;
  • Striker 12; or
  • Streetsweeper

Handguns Prohibited:

  • A semiautomatic pistol that has a fixed magzine, that has the capacity to accept more than ten (10) rounds of ammunition.
  • A semiautomatic pistol that has the capacity to accept a detachable magazine and has one or more of the following:
  • Any feature capable of functioning as a protruding grip that can be held by the non-trigger hand;
  • A folding, telescoping or thumbhole stock;
  • A shroud attached to the barrel, or that partially or completely encircles the barrel, allowing the bearer to hold the Firearm with the non-trigger hand without being burned, but excluding a slide that encloses the barrel;
  • A muzzle brake or muzzle compensator;
  • The capacity to accept a detachable magazine at some location outside of the pistol grip.

Additionally, the following pistols or copies or duplicates thereof are specifically prohibited:

  • Calico M-110;
  • MAC-10, MAC-11, OR MPA3;
  • Olympic Arms OA;
  • TEC-9, TEC-DC9; TEC-22 Scorpion, or AB-10; or UZI

Accessories/Ammunition Prohibited:

  • Any magazine with capacity of more than ten (10) rounds.

MASSACHUSETTS

Rifles

  • No Semi-automatic Rifles

Shotguns

  • No Semi-automatic Shotguns

Handguns

  • No handguns to Massachusetts.

Accessories/Ammunition

  • No magazines exceeding 10 rounds
  • No ammunition or ammunition components.
  • No stun guns or TASERs
  • No defense sprays

New Jersey

Rifles – 15 round capacity limit The following are prohibited:

  • Semi-automatic rifles that are capable of receiving a detachable magazine and has at least two of the following features:
  1. Folding / telescoping stock
  2. Pistol grip
  3. Bayonet lug
  4. Flash suppressor
  5. Threaded barrel
  6. Grenade launcher

Shotguns The following are prohibited:

  • A semi-automatic shotgun with either a magazine capacity exceeding six rounds, a folding stock or a pistol grip.

Handguns – 15 round capacity limit The following are prohibited:

  • Semi-automatic handguns that have the ability to accept a detachable magazine and at least two of the following features:
  1. Magazine that attaches outside of the pistol grip
  2. Manufactured weight of 50oz or more when the pistol is unloaded
  3. Threaded barrel
  4. Barrel shroud
  5. Semi-automatic version of an automatic firearm

Accessories/Ammunition

  • Magazines exceeding 15 rounds.

New York

Rifles The following are prohibited:

  • Semi-automatic rifles that can accept a detachable magazine and have one or more of the following features:
  1. Folding / telescoping stock
  2. Pistol grip
  3. Thumbhole stock
  4. Fore-grip
  5. Bayonet lug
  6. Flash suppressor
  7. Muzzle brake
  8. Muzzle compensator
  9. Threaded barrel
  10. Grenade launcher
  11. Over 10 round capacity

Shotguns The following are prohibited:

  • Semi-automatic shotguns that have one or more of the following features:
  1. Folding / telescoping stock
  2. Thumbhole stock
  3. Fore-grip
  4. Fixed magazine over 10 rounds
  5. Ability to accept a detachable magazine

Handguns The following are prohibited:

  • Semi-automatic handguns that have one or more of the following features:
  1. Folding / telescoping stock
  2. Thumbhole stock
  3. Fore-grip or other protruding grip that can be held by non-trigger hand
  4. Capacity to accept a magazine that attaches to the pistol outside of the pistol grip
  5. Threaded barrel
  6. Barrel shroud
  7. Manufactured weight of 50 oz or more
  8. Over 10 round capacity

Accessories/Ammunition The following are prohibited:

  • NO Ammunition sales, including components.
  • Folding / telescoping stocks
  • Thumbhole stocks
  • Fore-grips
